You're on FIRE! Nice job on these tables! --Dave Younce 15:30, 10 August 2007 (PDT)

Feasability of online games?

Thanks. If I could get the source code for these tables, I'd probably start working on a game. The detail on the HaftedWeapons was really inspirational; you just don't find that level of detail in any game. Attributing base damage and bonuses couldn't be that hard; I'd just need the right programs.

email me (my first & last names as spelled here, with a dot between them, at gmail.com) & I'll send you the mediawiki extension code that makes it all work - it's code from a year ago when I was just learning php, so its probably full of inefficiencies, but it seems to work pretty well here.--Dave Younce

Specific Effects in Weapons Tables

Hey Mike,

Can we do the specific effects with game mechanics in a derivative table somehow? I really liked that anyone using any RPG system might be able to use the weapons tables without modification for descriptive purposes - reading that I have +54 damage and a 3% chance to maim on a weapon breaks that feeling if I'm not using a system that effect makes sense in. So if it's not too much trouble, please consider making a new table that incorporates the effects you're writing that draws from Swords or Hafted or whatever, while leaving the "description-only" pages intact. Thanks!

Dave

no prob

should be able to fix it with a few line shifts. i'll move it all to d20 effects.

I think that...

Two generators, Random Space Phrase and Ship Description, should be removed from Star Trek and Star Wars-specific categories, as they are not specific to the aforementioned settings. (And mister Kirk out of the Star Wars category by same logic.)

Do you have any problems with this, or any arguments as to why not do this? ToB 10:06, 20 August 2008 (PDT)

sure thing

I'll change their categories. I'm certainly not trying to frustrate any fans. Mike

breaking writers block

(put this on my page and then realized you're more likely to see it here) I'd love to see a few more of the 'Pulp by the Letters' series filled out - example: D Pulp. We've got A-F and a few of the others, but it'd be nice to have more of those. I do also have some new table ideas in a notebook; I'll try to start one or two of them soon and (as always) look forward to your help fleshing them out. -Dave Younce 06:12, 11 April 2010 (PDT)

I'll take a look at it, thanks! - Mike, 12JUL10
