A raving mad old witch harasses an honest priest but a clever boy has a vivid dream.
A villainous Beamish denounces a cursed hermit but a rebellious Pete happens upon the scene.
A greedy merchant suborns an innocent old woman but a clever Miriam is passing by.
A decrepit and lecherous stepmother menaces a kindly old woman but a foolhardy former slave is passing by.
A villainous Skylark bedevils a much-loved wanderer but a brave musician is dispatched by a tyrant.
